Who we are

Dwelln is made by Acadia AI LLC, Maine, United States. Contact us at support@acadia.sh.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address, used to sign you in. You can sign in with an emailed link, with Google, or with Apple. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
• Your home data: the dwellings you add, their details and address, the equipment and inventory you select, your maintenance tasks and their schedules and completion history, and any dwellings you share with other people. This is stored in Google Firestore.
• Notification token: if you enable reminders, your device's push token so we can send maintenance reminders. Reminder scheduling happens on your device.
• Calendar access: only if you choose to export your maintenance dates. When you do, Dwelln asks your device for calendar permission and writes the due dates you selected into the calendar you pick, either Apple Calendar or Google Calendar. It removes the events it added if you deselect those tasks, and you can delete them yourself at any time. Your calendar is not sent to our servers.
• Error logs: when something goes wrong on our backend we keep an error report so we can find and fix it. Those reports can include your account identifier.
• Purchases: if you subscribe, Apple processes the payment and tells us your subscription status. We never receive your card details.

How we use it

To run the app: sign you in, store and sync your home data across your devices, generate and send your maintenance reminders, share dwellings with people you invite, and keep your subscription status correct. We also use our error logs to find and fix problems.

What we don't do

• We do not sell or rent your personal information.
• We do not show advertising.
• We do not use advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
• We do not build advertising profiles about you.

Who else touches your data

We use service providers to run Dwelln, and they process data on our behalf: Google Firebase (authentication, database, push delivery), Google Cloud (our backend and our error logs), and Apple (App Store purchases and subscription status). We share your information with other people only when you deliberately share a dwelling with them.

Keeping it

We keep your data while your account exists. Removing a task takes it out of your task lists and calendar, while retaining its maintenance history in your account. Deleting a dwelling removes its tasks and maintenance history. Ask us to delete your account and we'll remove your personal data, except anything we're legally required to keep (for example, purchase records).

Your choices

You can turn notifications off at any time in the iOS Settings app or in Dwelln's settings, and you can turn off calendar access in the same place. You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Email us at the address below and we'll take care of it.

Children

Dwelln isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update this page and the date at the top.
